Coney Island Washboard -live Lu Watters' YBJB vocal by Clancy Hayes, with Bob Helm, Turk Murphy

A great song and a superb rendition by the Lu Watters Jazz Band with a wonderful Clancy Hayes vocal. I am not sure of the recording date and have had to have a guess at the probable personnel but both Turk Murphy and Bob Helm are there. The final slide makes reference to Dave Radlauer's truly excellent Jazz Rhythm website that includes several hours of Lu Watters material including the complete Phil Elwood broadcasts. As ever I would also recommend the SFTJF Charles Huggins Project at Stanford University that holds 2000 items of music and memorabilia from the Great Jazz Revival and what followed. The Syncopated Times is also a wonderful on line Jazz magazine. Lastly if you are ever feeling in need of something to make you smile just about any Tuba Skinny track should do the trick! Enjoy.
