The Pageboys – When I Meet A Girl Like You ______ UK Garage/Freakbeat

Released in the UK in 1965 this sounds like a cross between US garage and UK beat/freakbeat at times. Apparently this was a UK release but was released in a way to make it appear as though they were an American band. It is believed that famed Kinks producer Larry Page managed or put together the group (who may have been session musicians) and named the The Pageboys as he had used this name for his backing band when he was a teen singer in the 1950’s.
