The Inner Struggle

Slight SPOILER ALERT from SPN season 9. You've been warned. Nothing in this life is perfect. We are all born with negativity and doubt. From the time we start to remember things and grasp the realities of the world, until our last breath takes us from here. The trick to surviving is to not let such things consume us. Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose and it is never easy, but we will always be at war with ourselves, even if we dont realize it right away. For this video, I wanted to portray that concept. A concept where Dean is at war with himself, his 'evil' / 'demonic' side. The side that holds him back and keeps him from being truly happy and taunts him. Like that little voice in the back of one's head that creates self-doubt. I wanted to keep him solo in this and not add Sam because well, it's easy for family to be there but its not quite the same to take in the help for that very reason as compared to let's say, a friend who tries to help. I added Castiel because, hey I ship Destiel and what not but first and foremost, I see them as best friends above all else. Castiel is someone who no matter what, is right there for Dean to heal him and help him when all seems lost. This is the one constant in Dean's life that keeps him from giving in to the negative and the doubt. it makes him stop when he remembers Castiel. These thoughts are even a driving force to fight that other side, even though sometimes Dean gives in to that side and feels like walking away, and regrets the thought later. It may seem like a solo journey for Dean but he's not alone. Alright so weird description is weird I know lol. You may not understand the video, but I do and that's what counts. It's my first Supernatural video. This took almost 3 days to make. You'd think it'd be a piece of cake being a big fan of SPN and all, but nope; with 9 seasons and about 22-23 episodes per season, except for season 3, there was alot of specific scenes to look for and that wasn't easy. The song choice was actually inspired by another SPN Dean video using the same song, which is actually what got me into the artist used. This is also my first non-FF/KH/Anime video so flaws ahoy! The quality isn't the best but my resources were the best that I could find. It's just something I wanted to make and after hearing a friend's advice, maybe a part of me felt it needed to be made so that I might be able to start into the video making habit again. One final note, I made this wearing ear-buds so adjust your volume if need be. Welp now that that long winded speech is out of the way, hope you enjoy!
