Karen Read retrial - DAY 31 - Defense Case - Live Watch and Attorney Analysis

After Dr. Laposata demolished the Commonwealth's theory that Karen hit John with her SUV yesterday, we finish the defense case with Dr. Andrew Rentschler, ARCCA's biomechanical engineer. He's already told us that during his work for an unrelated outside "agency" that is not the defense, the Commonwealth, or an insurance company, he concluded John's injuries were not consistent with striking Karen's car. Today we'll hear more about his own testing about the injuries he'd expect John to have from a collision involving the kinds of forces that would be necessary to shatter Karen's taillight as it was seen in the CPD sallyport.
