Minisub mission in GTA V. This is a setup mission for The Merryweather Heist Character: Trevor Prerequisite: You must have completed Scouting the Port and selected the Offshore approach. Objective: Steal the submersible from the freighter and transport it to the warehouse. Gold Medal Checklist (100% Completion) To get Gold, you must meet these two specific requirements: Mission Time: Complete the mission within 08:30. No Boarding: Steal the submersible without stepping foot on the ship. Note: The standard way to play is to sneak aboard and press a button to release the sub. Do not do this if you want Gold. See the strategy below. Step-by-Step Walkthrough (Gold Medal Strategy) 1. The Setup As Trevor, drive to the waypoint at the Port of Los Santos. The target is the freighter ship Daisy-Lee. The submersible is hanging off the side of the ship, suspended by cables. 2. Releasing the Sub (The "No Boarding" Trick) Do not walk up the gangplank or board the ship. This will void the "No Boarding" Gold requirement. Instead, stand on the dock next to the ship or climb on some nearby crates to get a clear view of the yellow sub. Equip a Sniper Rifle. Look for the four cables holding the sub in the air. Shoot the cables where they connect to the crane. Once all four are snapped, the sub will drop into the water. 3. Retrieving the Sub Jump into the water immediately and swim to the sub. 4. Extraction Navigate the sub through the water to the extraction point (marked by a yellow dot). Stay near the surface to move faster, but be careful of pylons and rocks. Once you arrive at the pick-up spot, drive the sub into the yellow underwater circle. 5. The Transport Floyd will use a crane to lift the sub onto a flatbed truck. Once the cutscene ends, get into the truck cab. Drive the truck to the warehouse. Drive carefully! If you crash too hard or get the truck stuck, you will waste time and miss the 08:30 time limit.
