HOW DID TYR ENTER VALHALLA? #godofwar

In God of War Valhalla, we meet Tyr in Valhalla. He invites Kratos to help him resolve his inner conflict and accept his role as the new God of War. But the problem is, to enter Valhalla, they must have died before. SO HOW DID TYR ENTER VALHALLA? Had he died before while imprisoned by Odin? Tyr himself mentioned a "loophole" when he lost his arm to Garm, the guard dog of Helheim. He claimed that Valhalla considered the loss of his arm equivalent to "death," thus granting him entry. Well, there are two possibilities: 1. Tyr nearly died as a result of losing his arm. 2. Valhalla treats the missing body part as an entry ticket. This is unique, as it shows that even a place as great as Valhalla has rules that can be "circumvented."
