Life is Strange Before the Storm | Episode 2 - Brave New World (complete) This video features my presentation of the entire Episode 2 - Brave New World in a feature length format, as per my play through. (Spoiler warning if you're watching the multi-part version and have never seen the game before.) All licenced music is intact as usual, the music being integral to Life is Strange's mood. Chloe and Rachel are in Principal Wells' office with their parents, to face the consequences of skipping school, although in Chloe case its being taken as part of ongoing issues and failure to comply with "agreed actions". Refusing to allow Rachel to take the blame, Chloe tells the truth and gets expelled for it. An awkward conversation ensues in Blackwell's car park with David and Joyce, wherein David tries to lay down the law. Chloe angrily walks away, not wanting to go home while David is there. Chloe winds up at the junkyard, where after venting her frustration for a while, she comes across an old truck which may still be viable and begins fixing it up. Firstly she takes some needed replacement parts from other vehicles at the junkyard - luckily there's an impounded and seemingly abandoned truck which has a good replacement battery on it. Frank calls saying he wants to meet, not wanting to go into it on the phone. Resting her feet in the car from her work and the stresses of the day and having a smoke, she falls asleep and has another dream of William, her late father. A seemingly peaceful if surreal dream which becomes nightmarish. Woken by Rachel, they sit and talk in the truck. Rachel has to leave to get ready for the play, The Tempest, she's starring in later, but leave a "survival bag" of clothes. Chloe makes use of the hut to look them over and change clothes. Frank turns up in his RV to collect Chloe to talk, who sees the blonde woman exit it who Rachel got upset by seeing at Overlook Park. It turns out Frank wants her to get money Drew owes him from Blackwell, in return her own debt will be cleared. Having found the money, Mikey shows up, then Drew and Damon, who lays into Drew for the money he owes HIM. Chloe must decide whether to intervene or stay hidden with Mikey. Wandering around Arcadia Bay having done the job Frank wanted, Chloe is at a loose end. With nothing else to do, and Rachel to see, she is drawn to the Blackwell play. Several encounters of varying degrees of awkwardness and/or strangeness ensue, before locating the changing room and Rachel herself. Just in time to catch Victoria trying to lace Rachel's tea so that she will have to perform in her place! With Victoria out of the picture, then Juliet who is playing Ariel unable to get there due to forest fire, Chloe finds herself unwilling roped in! Rachel goes off script in their dialogue, in a way which Chloe has to wonder how real it was. They walk towards Rachel's home afterward, giddy the events and each other's company. As things become rather more serious, they plan to leave together, almost immediately. Stopping at her home, intending only to pick up stuff they need, instead they are confronted with some painful truths about Rachel's father and who the mysterious woman is. -------------------------- About 'Life Is Strange Remastered Collection' A remastered collection of Life Is Strange and Life Is Strange: Before the Storm was announced on 18 March 2021, developed by Deck Nine and Black Tower Studios. It was available as part of the Ultimate Edition of Life Is Strange: True Colors, or as a stand-alone release. The remaster includes all previously released content with remastered visuals across characters and environments, improved character animation using full facial motion capture, updated and refined gameplay puzzles, and engine and lighting upgrades. About the second game 'Life is Strange: Before the Storm' is a three-part episodic standalone game that serves as a prequel to Life is Strange by Dontnod Entertainment and is set three years prior to the main game's events. It features Chloe Price as the playable protagonist and Rachel Amber as a main character who is crucial to the story. Before the Storm features the ability to "Backtalk", effectively taking the place of Max's time rewind ability in the first game. It relies upon Chloe's quick smart talking nature, the player calling upon Chloe to talk her out of certain precarious situations or getting what she wants. It is dependant upon the player picking up on contextual word use clue and can potentially make a situation worse if done poorly. A dialogue tree is used when a conversation or commentary is prompted. Occasional decisions will temporarily or permanently change outcomes. The environment can be interacted with and altered, including marking walls with graffiti. This prequel game is developed by Deck Nine Games and published by Square Enix. The game was first released in 2017/2018 and received a remaster by Deck Nine Games in February 2022.
