I’m back! And in my return video, I’m making the leap I’ve been putting off for months now. It is finally time to break up and say goodbye. Not with you. With Windows! Windows 10 support officially ends this month, and for many reason, some of which are outlined in this video, I am not moving to Windows 11. So, what am I going to do? Special thank you to Daniel Morgan, who composed the music and scored this video like it was some sort of major motion picture or something. Here’s to many future collaborations! (NOT SPONSORED) This is the microphone I used in this video. It is probably one of the best vocal mics you can find for under $100, and I am very pleased with it. https://amzn.to/3L3bgM5 I got a new sling bag not that long ago for when I want to travel light with some photography gear. And I love this thing. It is probably the best budget camera sling I’ve ever used. Should I do a video just about it? https://amzn.to/48TbmQn This is a battery adapter plate that lets you use NPF batteries for USB, USB-C, and D-TAP power, similar to how a lot of people use V-Mount batteries. This has made my drawer full of NPF batteries even more useful. https://amzn.to/4pXZByd How do I get those smooth moving shots of my computers? With a motorized slider! This is the new version of the one I used: https://amzn.to/4obdbfX The full details of the travel homelab build are in that video on my channel, and you should check it out to learn more, but one of the key components in it is this travel router, which I still love. https://amzn.to/4oaJKKS Think my video looks too soft? I do, too. I shoot on an older camcorder I bought used from a TV station. It is surprisingly good, but it is a little soft, only has 8-bit color, and the softness of the lens is even worse when I use my teleprompter. Plus the low-light performance is lacking by modern standards. I’d really like to upgrade. If you are also in the market for a video camera, this is the one I plan to buy when it makes sense: Nikon ZR https://amzn.to/47egb5D and Nikon FTZII Adapter (too use some of my old glass) https://amzn.to/3J3rAvI Why was I gone so long between videos? For many reasons, one of them being I MIGHT have broken my leg recently? How? Riding my eBoard! My injury was not the eBoard’s fault, and now that I am healed I do ride it again. The one I have has been discontinued, but here is another similar board by the same company: https://amzn.to/470CCKq
