What Is mRNA? | mRNA COVID Vaccines

Messenger ribonucleic acid, mRNA, vaccines have been discussed by the general public for the past year (2020) in regards to mRNA COVID vaccines. Many sites explore how mRNA works but here we explore what mRNA is, exploring why mRNA codes for specific proteins and what mRNA does within our cells. In future videos, we will explore how we know the mRNA codes for COVID spike proteins and the nanomedicine behind delivering mRNA to our cells. One thing missing from this video but will be discussed in future videos is using the purified, laboratory-derived COVID Spike protein against known antibodies that target wild-type COVID Spike proteins.
