Violence continues in Syria

As the United Nations sounds warnings of civil war, waves of fresh violence are still breaking out across Syria. For more than a week, troops loyal to President Bashar al-Assad have been shelling Homs to take back parts of the city captured by rebel forces. Hundreds are believed to have been killed since last Saturday. Meanwhile, in Idlib, signs of armed resistance to President Assad's government are growing.
