Did you know that there's a star spinning so fast it completes one rotation in just 1.4 milliseconds? This is the fastest moving pulsar star, PSR J1748-2446ad. Located about 18,000 light-years away, this neutron star is the remnant of a massive star that underwent a supernova explosion. Its incredible speed is due to the conservation of angular momentum, where the star's rotation accelerates as it collapses into a smaller, denser state. As it spins, it emits electromagnetic radiation in a beam, which we observe as pulses of radiation. What do you think would happen if we could harness the energy of such an incredibly fast-spinning star? #Science #Education #DailyDeepSpace #BeyondEarth #SpaceFacts #ScienceShorts #Universe #Cosmos
