Mortal Kombat 1: Story Mode Part 7

Welcome to my playthrough of the story mode for Mortal Kombat 1. This is going to be episode #7 and it will cover Chapter 12 for Mileena and Chapter 13 for Shang Tsung. At the start of Mortal Kombat 1, we got to see the new timeline created by Fire God Liu Kang: Chapter 1 revealed Kung Lao and Raiden living new lives as farmers. Chapter 2 revealed Johnny Cage is still a martial arts actor and Kenshi is a member of the Yakuza who wants to change his ways. We got to see things from the perspectives of Kung Lao and Johnny Cage before the lives of each character was interrupted by Liu Kang. The fire god wanted them to train and participate in his version of the Mortal Kombat tournament. Raiden ended up winning the tournament in Chapter 3. After the tournament Liu Kang found out Shang Tsung, who Liu Kang went out of his way to make sure was destined for a mediocre life, is suddenly becoming a nefarious sorcerer again courtesy of a mysterious person. In Chapter 4 Johnny Cage, Kenshi, and Kung Lao go to Outworld to capture Shang Tsung to find out what he is planning. They are able able to track down his lab with the help of fellow Shang Tsung hater Baraka. They break into the lab to capture Shang Tsung but the plan goes poorly, Kenshi gets blinded, and every member of the team is imprisoned. That is short-lived though because in Chapter 5 they broke out and end up recruiting Reptile to help them since he wants revenge against Shang Tsung. The recruiting was not over though because in Chapter 6 the team fled into the Living Forest and encountering Ashrah, and she explains she is hunting Quan Chi, a sorcerer teamed-up with Shang Tsung. Both are plotting something involving using soul stealing weapons in Earthrealm. Since she is a fellow Shang Tsung hater, she joins the team and helps capture Quan Chi. In Chapter 7, Reptile causes distractions while the team escapes to the portal back to Earthrealm. The team is still discovered and Quan Chi gets away but Johnny, Kung Lao, Kenshi, Ashrah, and Reptile fight their way through the portal to Earthrealm. The Lin Kuei go to a fortress in Earthrealm where Quan Chi and Shang Tsung are making the soul stealers to stop the weapon production and stop the sorcerers in Chapter 8. They get caught and Sub-Zero decides to team up with the sorcerers. Scorpion and Smoke maintain their allegiance to Liu Kang and just barely escape with a captured, unconscious Subzero in Chapter 9. Them fleeing meant the sorcerers were free to activate the soul stealers. Liu Kang convinced Li Mei to help him have an audience with Empress Sindel in Chapter 10, leading to Liu Kang getting a chance to prove his claim that Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, General Shao, and others were plotting to defy or overthrow her. This was proved in Chapter 11 when Gera showed Sindel how Liu Kang crafted everyone's destinies and someone had manipulated the fates of Quan Chi and Shang Tsung. The chapters in this episode will show how the newly allied forces of Earthrealm and Outworld try to stop the sorcerers. We will also get the reveal of who helped them defy their destinies and why. That is our starting point and we will begin by using Mileena. Mortal Kombat 1 immediately follows the events of Mortal Kombat 11 and the DLC Aftermath and this game was created by Netherrealm Studios and WB Games. Mortal Kombat 1 is also the most current Mortal Kombat game as of the time of this recording. There may be DLC stories added to this game in the future, and I may end up playing through those as well.
