Even though Rihanna is 16 years old in the video singing Hero by Mariah Carey(while Carey is 23 here) and no matter that it is very obvious that she can not perform it well,also many other singers that tried to sing that song never accomplished to deliver the song IN THE WAY Carey does, especially keeping that excellent voice control, high notes vocal range and perfect voice tone, especially in the last MUCH IMPRESSIVE lyrical part before the end ''Lord knows, dreams are hard to follow but don't let anyone tear them away, Hold on , there will be tomorrow , in time you 'll find your way''. Rihanna "s vocal ability IN GENERAL is a good one but not in the LEVEL OF MARIAH "S CAREY.Besides Rihanna in my opinion PERFORMS much better the UPTEMPO DANCE SONGS she has used in her career and less known as a ballad singer.
