For the past two decades, what people really have me do as an engineer is fetch data from spreadsheets, and sync them up! Even LLMs work like that if you look deep enough 😂 So, today, let’s have a look at how to use Airtable as your database! Airtable is “Google Sheets on steroids”, it’s got the ease of use for people familiar with spreadsheet magic, but offers more opportunities for visualisation and interlinking, as well as a plethora of integrations with other tools that are super popular with startups, like Slack & Zapier. I do usually go with Supabase which also takes care of my auth needs, but sometimes what I want is simple enough for Airtable to be the right tool for the job!
