Is this HOT ICE CREAM worth the hype?! ✨Recipe: Ingredients: • 2 cups whole milk • 1 cup heavy cream • ½ cup sugar • 4 large egg yolks • 1 tsp vanilla extract • Small round sprinkles • Whipped cream • Caramel sauce • Extra sprinkles, for topping Directions: 1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, cream, and vanilla. Heat until small bubbles form around the edges, just before boiling, then remove from heat and let steep for a few minutes. 2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until pale and slightly thickened. 3. Slowly pour about ¼ cup of the warm milk mixture into the yolks, whisking constantly to temper them. Then slowly pour the yolk mixture back into the saucepan, stirring the entire time. 4. Return the pan to low heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon. Smooth, but still pourable. Remove immediately before it curdles. 5. Strain the custard into a clean bowl to remove any lumps. Serve warm for that “hot ice cream” effect, or chill if you prefer it classic. 6. Stir in the sprinkles, then top with whipped cream, caramel sauce, and a final shower of sprinkles, and enjoy!
