Let's Play Ratchet & Clank (PS2/PCSX2) - Episode 4
ORIGINAL RECORD DATE: November 1st, 2025. A game straight from my childhood. The beginning of one of my big 4 (That being Ratchet, Sly, Jak, and Ty). Now this isn't my first time tackling this game on my channel. Back in 2017 I did my first console Let's Play on the PS3 version of the game. It's time to return and do a complete playthrough of the PS2 version of the game, thanks to the wonders of emulation. Ratchet & Clank holds a special place for me, much like many other games, and I'm so excited to be playing through it again. After finishing up on Super Mario World, I wasn't entirely sure what game to LP next. I'm definitely getting closer to doing Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, but I if I want to bounce around a bit while covering multiple different series' for variety, then I'd best start Ratchet & Clank now. As it's a monster of a franchise with loads of titles. This particular Let's Play is planned to be 100%, but at the very least completing the main story. I do not believe I finished collecting all of the weapons or Gold Bolts in my PS3 playthrough, and I plan to rectify that this time around. Much like the rest of my console game Let's Plays in the present time, this is being emulated with PCSX2. The game seems to run fine without any major issues, but there is a relatively common occurrence of framerate drops. This doesn't make the game unplayable, but may be distracting. I have lots and lots of Let's Play ideas, but as far as Ratchet is concerned, I'm finally going to be playing through the sequels like I was suppose to do after my old PS3 LP. So you can expect the next Ratchet Let's Play to be of Going Commando (The second game). However this won't be my very next Let's Play, but it shouldn't be too long before it gets its time to shine. Now hold on.. a 3D platformer with a storyline being Let's Play'd by Tigerfrost when he never does Let's Plays? Oh, that's just my selective thinking taking over? Bulldust. NOTE: All footage is recorded & uploaded raw in 1440p at 60fps. The emulator is running the game in it's original aspect ratio of 4:3 with no added modifications. This series will not have a special intro or outro. Episodes will be around 1 hour in length on average.
