Pepper Chicken Masala | Recipe | Chettinad Style | Simple Chicken Curry

Follow us on Facebook   / seasoned-kitchen-120255393111375   Ingredients: 1/2 tbsp coriander seeds 1 tsp cumin seeds 2 tsp black peppercorns (can be replaced with black pepper powder) 1/4 tsp shahjeera / caraway seeds [optional] 3 cardamom pods [optional] 3 cloves garlic 1 small cinnamon stick (can be replaced with ground cinnamon powder) 2 pieces cloves [optional] 1 chopped big onion 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder [optional] 1/4 tsp turmeric powder Salt to taste 300 grams chicken pieces Coriander leaves for garnish Curry leaves for garnish Method: 1. Dry roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds, black peppercorns, cardamom, cinnamon cloves and shahjeera seeds in low flame for 2 mins 2. Add the garlic and roast lightly 3. Transfer the spices into food processor and grind into a powder form (with coarse texture) and set it aside 4. Heat a pan with 2 tbsp of oil 5. Add the onions and saute until it softens 6. Add the kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well 7. At this point, add the chicken pieces and stir it well 8. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 5-7 mins in medium flame 9. Stir the chicken occasionally 10. Add in the spice powder prepared earlier and coat the chicken well in it 11.
