It started as a mod for Valve’s Source engine and later became its own game, with fan-made modes like Prop Hunt and Trouble in Terrorist Town. The game has sold over 20 million copies, and a new version called S&box is being developed. The Walten Files is an animated "analog horror" series on YouTube created by Martin Walls.
