For this one I've relied completely on Analog Lab preset library, as I don't own any simulations of Yamaha DX7 (which Mac used as a pad on the song) or Juno 60 (which he used as the lead instrument) - far from perfect, but I used a "Breeze" (or something like that) preset from "Juno Jazz" preset pack which you can buy for cheap online on Reverb Machine. Midi Controller is Arturia Keylab Essential, which Analog Lab came with. Drums were recorded using three mics, one on the bass drum, one under the snare, pointing at wires and one overhead, hanging low above the kit. I'd seen Mac do it in "Making of another one" - I guess it's good for home and DIY studios to eliminate that unwanted (in this particular track) room sound. Added some delay, reverb and saturation on top of it. I've edited Breeze preset a bit, removing lots of hi-end and adding more chorus to get pad sound at least a bit similar to DX7. Both synth tracks are quite rich in reverb and delay to add some depth. For vocals, which are rather unprofessional sounding, I've started with some delay, I guess I added a bit of compression then, reverb and a tape saturation plugin. Eq is really rudimentary as I'm using simple three-knob eq within pro tools. I hate parametric eq's within the program. Let me know your opinions about the whole thing.
