Do fewer miles, hike in a color environment, Hike during morning or sundown or stay inside. Learn where the water is and if it's flowing (Don't assume). Your life is on the line remember that. 3. Keep putting salty snacks back in your body. 4. Don't just drink Gatorade, consume water too. 5. Nature does not have sympathy for people that make mistakes. 6. Learn the symptoms of heatstroke and heat exhaustion. 7. Bring sunscreen 8. Wear a brimmed hat.
