𝐒𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗡 Prelude op.11 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟬 𝗶𝗻 𝗖♯ 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗿 – Andante

And finally, after a vulnerable C# of the Prelude No.8, and nostalgic C# of the Prelude No.9, we may feel a real Abyss of Darkness of C# in bass here. Bells were always an incredibly important element in Russian Music. This Scriabin's Prelude surely symbolises Funeral Bells, that sound as if they were from another world, from the World of Dead. Scriabin's use of harmonies is quite unique here. The whole bar with its dissonant chords in treble sounds actually like overtones of the first deep bell hit. Therefore I wasn't really following a trend of voicing these chords in a romantic way, rather experimenting with their colour potential.
