The man, the myth, the legend - Nuno! @NunoBettencourtExtreme Every guitarist's favourite guitarist. The song "Get the Funk Out" was released on "Extreme II: Pornograffitti" in 1990 as the fourth track and second single from Extreme @Extreme_Band, their second studio album. This song's lyrics explores the concept of individuality, personal freedom, and the importance of staying true to oneself - if you don't agree, "get the funk out". I've tried to nail this solo for many years, still work in progress... The song blends rock and funk with that "big band" feel with the horns making it difficult not to start grooving along - and the solo is just a work of art - "it belongs in a museum...". As Sir @BrianMay (of Queen) said: "If that doesn’t bring tears to your eyes as a guitarist, I don’t know where things are, ... I could never do that, ... That’s a landmark in rock history." Gear: Ibanez RG series 7-string (Eb tuning from 6th string), Axe-Fx III, recorded and mixed in Cubase. Tabs from Guitar Pro and recorded with VLC. Movie editing is performed with Blender.
