My Shadowman video special. This is me beating the game with no Gad tattoos, and collecting 95+ dark souls. Yes, I'm that insane, and a number of these glitches have never been shown online before, some of them I discovered on my own. Thumbnail is custom made by me. When I first played Avery's level when I was young & noticed those holes in the ceiling in the first room you saw the "Angel" and "Deadwing" graffiti , I pictured it would be a rooftop fight not long after. Not that I had to climb a Liveside bloodfall & the house getting even more scary. 😅 I can also picture Avery watching the semi-permanent eclipse caused by the L'Éclipser, and bringing his half-alive victims to watch (where they probably have one eye left), all the while Avery rambles about Deadside stuff, Legion and the Asylum, his own mother, etc. to people about to be sacrificed & become furniture. It usually takes me 12 hours to complete the game. I save Avery for last for sake of proper survival horror progression. Makes me wonder what he's doing in his last day (and hours) before confronting Shadowman. Pretty eerie to think about. 😬 Lore stuff aside, here are the suggestions I'd have if a Shadowman Remastered v1.6 were to be made. 🧐 Again, this is just in theory since it totally depends on Night Dive Studios and I think maybe Valiant as well. 0. 🔧 Not a glitch that I discovered myself, but ones that speedrunners are fascinated with. It makes the game end too early by being able to jump over the Dark Engine. I'd remove this, personally, but that's just me:    • Shadow Man Remastered 1.5 speedrun in 16:2...   1. 🔧❗ Now, for my stuff. Eliminate and patch-out the "water wading" glitch entirely; this is the biggest issue. It's broken like version 1.4 and prior's "duppy jump" glitch. The water wading glitch can similarly ruin level progression much like the duppy jump glitch, and expose other glitches like the soft-locking Marcher Gads that also remove the Poinge. Can be done at any time, but in this video, I do it after shutting down Avery's piston. Water wading lets you break too many things. Note: You can't water wade the bloodfall at Avery's since for that one, you fall through the floor instead. You do in fact need the Poinge in this case. Even if you wade from the green water puddle behind the elevator, the skin door leading to the dresser with the Accumulator & the bloodfall to Avery's attic can't be bypassed due to an invisible wall when water wading. 2. 🔧 Perhaps remove that lower step part of the ledge at 2:19 in the Temple of Life/Wastelands. It would make the charcoal path longer to prevent the player from jumping to this dark soul early. 3. 🔧 Make it so the player can't jump past the pipes at 3:24 by possibly having an invisible barrier on the sides of the pipes. 4. 🔧 Shrink down this platform pipe length at 4:35 to prevent the player from getting up to the boardwalk early, or remove the pipe that you can double jump up onto entirely. Keep the pipe with the Cadeaux on it, just remove the other one that slightly hovers above it. 5. 🔧❕ Move the padlock in Marco Cruz's area at 8:00 to the door at 8:54 putting the padlock on the door's side inside the trailer, so the door is locked from the inside if you walk up the trailer's stairs. With that change, the player wouldn't be able to hit the padlock from an out-of-bounds area, and it makes the level progression normal now (having to go through the burning Show Me Inn with all 3 of the Gads). Note: Also, make sure that the Calabash can't be used either to break the locks, as it can sometimes destroy locks from the opposite side of the door (also messes with progression). 6. 🔧 Make it so that this ledge at 12:20 in the Temple of Fire can't be grabbed. 7. 🔧 Restructure the area a bit at 21:39 in the Temple of Prophecy to prevent barrel rolling to get the Marcher Gads too early. 8. 🔧 Remove the slab of meat on the floor at 30:42 to prevent the player from jumping & climbing up the boxes to get this dark soul early in the Asylum Lavaducts. This soul is meant to be obtained by a back entrance found with the Nager Gads. 9. 🔧 Restructure the area a bit at 33:20 in the Temple of Blood to prevent barrel rolling to get the this dark soul too early. Maybe add a fence on this ledge to prevent rolling up it, so the player actually has to do the Nager Gad puzzle? 10. 🔧❕ The gate that leads to the Soul Gate from Milton's arena should only be opened once Milton is killed, much like how the ordinary doors to the next area remain shut in Marco's and Jack's levels until you kill them. This will prevent Milton from wandering like at 56:01 and the screenshots & video clips after it. 11. 🔧❗ When completing "The Horror" difficulty in languages other than English, like I did in Italian like at 59:23 and after, make sure that the game loads into the cutscene of Shadowman and Jaunty drinking together; not staying stuck indefinitely when the loading screens appear (smooth transition).
