The Dark Arisen expansion includes a new area dubbed, "Bitterblack Island" where our hero fights tougher foes and finds better loot and rift crystals. To take part in the Bitterblack Challenge, one needs only to start a brand new game and head straight for the Bitterblack Isle (after defeating the Cyclops and getting your first pawn).
