Why do feel comfortable in choosing grace that discipline? We know that God is real then by simply reasoning Hell is real. How is it that the bible warns about Hell but we believe that no one is going and especially us? The religious leaders wanted to Jesus to show them a sign and He would not perform for them. I am sure that if Kings from faraway lands had presented themselves at His birth they know of it. It was no secret of His mastery of the Old Testament even as young child. The many miracles that he had performed that they were aware of but still they were not convinced. The religious leaders in the face of the truth could not accept it and not much has change in our day. Can you imagine be within yards, feet, inches from the Messiah and rejecting Him? James says the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without uncertainty or insincerity (James 3:17). Christ came to set us free from sin and slavery to it and its desires. Through the gift of the Holy Spirit he pours His love into our hearts that we may understand his will for our lives. Ask the Lord to renew and to increase your thirst for His wisdom and truth.
