Kingdom Hearts 3 Re+Mind Data Xehanort Critical All Pro Codes

Part of my blind play-through of KH3 on Critical + All Pro Codes The end is near... As expected Xehanort was a big pain. While he does largely stick to a script he spends nearly half of this fight in some kind of super attack. He would probably spend less time there if I wasn't doing so much damage, but still, most of this fight seems to just be trying to figure out how to deal with his DMs. More of a puzzle fight than a proper boss really. Everything up until his main "DM" was fairly well choreographed. The first attack took some time to find a good route through, but Flash Stepping at the start gives good positioning to avoid overlap with the lasers and meteors, and saves me from having to hit annoyingly tight blocks after dodge rolling. Shame you can't punish this attack proper. His light room sequence was and still is kind of annoying as it is usually consistent, but very small variations in positioning or timing can make it so you can't punish him well or at all. The lasers he does afterwards are... you guessed it. Also annoying. Usually consistent, but being just a tiny bit off on the timing meant one of the lasers would clip me out of nowhere. I wouldn't mind this fight being a puzzle fight as much if so many of the puzzles didn't have such tight timings to solve. With no punish available, and the amount of time the boss spends in some other place besides here, it makes these sequences drag on for too long. The next sequence was just a bit of damage optimization so I could abuse the obscene amount of damage I can do to push him as far as possible after his HP gate for the true DM. Reprisals are the best for that, and conveniently, his cycle lets me get right to the HP gate before giving one of the few counter opportunities I could find. The DM is just another timing puzzle, and as far as DMs go this one wasn't completely awful. I wish it was a bit more clear that his double blade attack wasn't blockable as that ran me up a wall for a while. I took damage because I simply forgot that I was supposed to block after the double laser. I got lucky and managed to save it, but the final attack here was always a toss-up if I could get out unscathed. The airstep after the quad-red laser is incredibly tight, but I could usually manage. Everything after was just more of the same, even though I almost lost it right at the end. He appeared a little further away than I expected for the first part which necessitated a third dodge roll I'm not used to doing. That threw my timing off so I wasn't sure if I was supposed to airstep the final ball or not. Luckily I guessed correctly and the final data boss is down. Only one boss (and a bit of achievement cleanup) and this 6 month long road can finally end.
