There are moments in life when we become so weary and exhausted that we no longer have the strength to pray. Yet even those in Scripture who were acknowledged by God cried out to Him from places of deep despair, and their prayers and cries were met with His comfort. When we immerse our hearts in their songs and cries, the same comfort they received begins to pour into our own souls today. When the spirit is restored, the mind and body—which are influenced by the spirit— also gain new strength. As we share in the nourishment of God’s Word and the comfort experienced by the people in Scripture, our souls are renewed and find true peace.
