Underground Horns

Underground Horns

Underground Horns is a brass band that started its musical journey as buskers in the New York City subway system. Though the band has evolved since its genesis in 2009, it has not forgotten its roots, and can frequently be seen starting dance parties in Times Square, Union Square or Grand Central Terminal. In addition to Manhattan Subway stations, the band has also started impromptu dance parties at city parks and has forced patrons to get on the dance floor at club dates in venues such as the Brooklyn Bowl, Blue Note and Nublo. Underground Horns has also been playing in a marching band and most recently participated in the NYC Spectacular Halloween Parade. The band has also released two albums; “Big Beat’ (2010) and “Almost Blue” (2014), for both they received great reviews in media outlets such “Time Out,” “New York City Jazz Review,” and “New York Magazine,” among others.
